Skylanders is a toys-to-life action video game series published by Activision. A spin-off of the Spyro series, Skylanders games are played by placing character figures called the Skylanders on the "Portal of Power," a device that reads the figures' tags through NFC and "imports" the character represented by the value into the game as a playable character.
At Skylanders Academy, the most celebrated young warriors from realms all across Skylands are trained to protect the universe from evil-doers. The newest Skylanders team - Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Eruptor - are on high alert to foil Kaos and the Doom Raiders’ plots to rule the universe! As our tale begins, Master Eon discovers he will need his heroes even more than ever, as a mysterious darkness begins to seep in and destroy the balance of the Skylands!
Featuring the Skylander Academy book (containing a list of all Skylander heroes), we are introduced to Master Eon and his motley crew. Kaos and Glumshanks, not wanting to be left out, manage to sneak in their own “Hero page.” Filled with magic and whimsy, the opening sequence is a playful mirror of the Skylanders Academy universe.
With the popularity of the Skylanders games, increasing an animated TV show was commissioned in 2015, created by Activision Blizzard Studios. Grafx was approached by agency Perception to create the opening title sequence for the first season on Netflix.
