Stage Visuals for Alibaba Singles Day

As one of the world’s top cosmetic brands, MAC Cosmetics partnered with GRAFX Co. to bring bold, high-fashion visuals to the world’s largest shopping event: Alibaba’s Singles Day Gala, broadcast across China via TMALL’s livestream platform.

For three consecutive years, GRAFX Co. developed dynamic stage graphics for MAC’s high-energy, six-minute performance at the gala—an event known for its massive online viewership, celebrity appearances, and immersive brand showcases. With a full cast of models and dancers on stage, the visuals needed to be visually striking yet harmoniously integrated into the choreography and lighting design.

Our team provided creative direction, storyboards, and full-screen animations for both wall and floor LED displays, crafting abstract and textured motion sequences that elevated the mood without distracting from the live performance. Each year’s visuals were tailored to reflect MAC’s evolving campaign aesthetics while aligning with the futuristic, high-gloss tone of the Singles Day production.

What resulted was a captivating fusion of fashion, technology, and performance that reinforced MAC’s brand presence on the global stage, helping to drive massive viewer engagement and boost real-time mobile sales during this high-stakes event.
