A few years ago, UN-Water published an alarming statistic; that in less than 20 years, two out of every three people on the planet could face a shortage of clean water. In the US, while the problem is not quite that dire, 10% of homes have leaks that can waste over 90 gallons/day. A study by Michigan State University has revealed that in just 5 years nearly 1/3rd of the US will lack affordable access to water if this trend continues.
Phyn believes developing technology that allows us to listen and understand our water can provide tools to help combat these issues. As part of their mission to do just that, Phyn has released numerous Smart Water Assistant devices, that plug directly into your water supply and monitor flow in real-time. As a part of this system, GRAFX was tasked with producing background animations for the Phyn App dashboard. These animations include normal and emergency shut off, turning back on the main flow of water, and steady-state flow. These animations were created for all major hardware options, including iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
