With recent advancements in CRISPR and other gene-editing technologies, synthetic biology is ushering in a new era of innovation, one where biology becomes a programmable design material. As DNA editing becomes more precise, accessible, and affordable, the possibility of merging living organisms with engineered systems is rapidly moving from science fiction to practical reality.
In collaboration with VantageFilms, and Lead Creative Director Vasil Hnatiuk, GRAFX Co. launched a visual essay initiative aimed at introducing the design community to the future possibilities of bioengineering and living systems design.
